Obituary – Terrence E. “Terry” O’Laughlin
Terrence E. “Terry” O’Laughlin, 70, of Renovo, died Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at Lock Haven Rehabilitation and Senior Living and is now singing with the angels.
He was born on January 21, 1954 in Renovo and was the son of the late Terrence E. “Terry” Sr. and Catherine “Cissy” O’Laughlin.
Terry was a graduate of Bucktail High School, Class of 1972. He then went on to attend Lock Haven University where he earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology.
He was a financial advisor and worked for various banks. Terry retired from First Commonwealth Bank.
Terry was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Renovo where he served as the music director and part of the financial council. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, Bucktail Band Boosters, the Renovo Community Choir, the Council of Churches Representative, the Greater Renovo Area Heritage Park and the CTA. Terry was an avid car lover and loved going to car shows with his antique car. He also enjoyed singing to the residents at Bucktail Nursing Home over the years.
He is survived by one sister; Mary Walchonski of New Hope, three nieces; Tina Lardon, Katy Ansert and Alexandra Flanders, two nephews; JT Walchonski and Nick Walchonski and his dear friend; Mary George Rhone of Renovo.
In addition to his parents, Terry was preceded in death by one brother; William O’Laughlin.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either the Greater Renovo Area Heritage Park, 530 Erie Ave., Renovo, PA 17764 or to St. Joseph Catholic Church organ repair fund, 925 Huron Ave., Renovo, PA 17764.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. with the Reverend Joseph Orr officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Hyner. Arrangements are being handled by Maxwell Funeral Home, 205 Fifth Street, Renovo.
