Obituary – Debra Jean (Bratton) Proctor
Debra Jean (Bratton) Proctor, 63, of Renovo, died Sunday, February 9, 2025 at her home.
She was born on February 7, 1962 in Renovo and was the daughter of the late James and Mary Lou (Litz) Bratton.
On September 1, 1979, Debra married Neal F. Proctor and they celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary last year.
Debra was a graduate of Bucktail High School, Class of 1980. After school she went on to work for Brookline Village, State College as a nursing assistant. While working there she earned her certification as a Certified Nurse Assistant and retired after 35 years in 2022. Debra also attended Empire Beauty School, State College where she received her certification as a cosmetologist and CPI of Pleasant Gap where she earned her certification as a dental hygienist.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Renovo and enjoyed antiques, drawing, painting and crafting. Most of all she loved to go kayaking and spending time outdoors.
In addition to her husband, Debra is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law; Tiffany M. and Ernest Delp, III of Renovo and Kristen M. and Dr. Dennis Probst of North Bend, five grandchildren; Adelle Leiter, Ernest Delp, IV, Jacob Leiter, Ali Delp and Aaron Probst, two brothers and one sister-in-law; James Bratton of Renovo and Jason and Suzie Bratton of Renovo and three sisters and two brothers-in-law; Karen and Mike Lowrey of Westport, Sandra and Doug Burrows of Farwell and Cheryl Bratton of North Bend.
In addition to her parents, Debra was preceded in death by one sister; Tina Bratton.
All services for Debra are being held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are being handled by Maxwell Funeral Home, 205 Fifth Street, Renovo.
