Obituary – Genevieve M. “Peg” Rupert
Genevieve M. “Peg” Rupert, 93, of Beech Creek passed away Monday, February 10, 2025 at Haven Place, Lock Haven.
Born October 22, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Haven and Alta (Weaver) Geise.
Peg was married to Claude Rupert for 65 years before his passing in 2013.
She was employed at Woolrich Woolen Mills, Blanchard for many years before her retirement.
Surviving are four children: Linda (Bob) Young of Howard, Ann (Robert) Peters of Beech Creek, Darlene (William) Hutchings of Beech Creek and Rodney Rupert of Beech Creek; her sister, Jane (Vincent) Lucas of Howard; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one great, great grandchild; and her close friends, Jim and Linda Wensel, who were devoted to her.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Ricky Rupert; a grandson, Chad Young; and a brother, Ronald Geise.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at 11:30 AM at Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington with Rev. Alan Eckenroad officiating. Private interment will be at Blanchard Baptist Cemetery.
Friends and family will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:30 AM until the time of the service.
Memorial contributions in Peg’s name may be made to Beech Creek-Blanchard Volunteer Fire Company through the funeral home.
