Wildcats Roll Past Midd-West, Set Sights on Selinsgrove Rematch

MILL HALL – Central Mountain delivered a dominant performance on their home court Tuesday night, rolling past Midd-West 60-32. The Wildcats, now 7-11 on the season, set the tone early and never let up, securing a much-needed victory.

Central Mountain set the tone early, jumping out to a 16-7 lead in the first quarter and never looking back. The Wildcats extended their advantage to 28-14 at halftime and continued to apply pressure in the second half, outscoring Midd-West 18-8 in the third quarter to put the game out of reach.

Max Verrelli led all scorers with 20 points, while Noah Wells added 11. Caleb Mahoney contributed eight, and both Blake Walker and Hunter Hoy finished with seven. Darius Shade chipped in four, and Jared Bischof added three to round out the scoring.

With momentum on their side, Central Mountain now turns its attention to a road matchup at Selinsgrove on Friday. The Wildcats will look to avenge an earlier 72-61 loss to the Seals and continue their push toward a strong finish to the season.
