Obituary – Jeanne L. Remick
Jeanne L. Remick, 81, of Salona passed away Sunday, January 26, 2025 at her home.
Born November 27, 1943, she was a daughter of the late Nevin and Verna Harvey Long.
Jeanne was a graduate of Bald Eagle Nittany High School. She then completed her teaching degree, graduating from Lock Haven State College. Later, she earned her Master’s Degree from Bloomsburg University.
Jeanne taught Special Education at Lock Haven High School and then served as Assistant Superintendent of Upper Adams School District, Biglerville. She finally was employed as a Compliance Officer with the Board of Education until her retirement.
On December 7, 1996, she married James F. Remick who preceded her in death in 2000.
Jeanne attended Salona Evangelical Lutheran Church.
She loved reading as well as raising her alpacas.
Surviving is her daughter, Deanna L. Dodson of Salona; brother, John (Nancy) Long of Hunlock Creek; sister, Vera (Bud) Mowery of Nescopeck; son-in-law, Randy Eisenhower of Georgia; grandchildren, Tyler Conway (Brandy Hubbard) and Danielle Karichner; great granddaughter, Susan K. Conway; best friend and neighbor, Tracey Foster; and Judy Croll and Kelsey Minihan who helped care for her.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Susan K. Eisenhower and Dawn E. Mauck.
Funeral services will be at the convenience of her family. Interment will be at Hublersburg Cemetery.
