LOCK HAVEN – Central Mountain’s boys basketball team emerged victorious over Jersey Shore in an exciting matchup at the annual Field House Frenzy, hosted at Commonwealth University-Lock Haven’s Thomas Field House. Behind a stellar performance from Hunter Hoy, the Wildcats earned a 62-55 win over the Bulldogs.
Central Mountain (18-13-11-20 scoring by quarter) set the pace early, taking an 18-15 lead in the first quarter and holding on through a late-game push from Jersey Shore. Hoy led the Wildcats with 29 points, showing his ability to score in critical moments. He was backed by Noah Wells, who added 13 points and made key defensive blocks, and Darius Shade, who contributed 11 points, including three clutch three-pointers in the fourth quarter.
Blake Walker (5 points), Max Verrelli (2), and Jeremy Reese (2) also made important contributions, helping the Wildcats maintain their lead. Shade was instrumental on both ends of the court, forcing turnovers that fueled Central Mountain’s transition game.
