LHU’s Wyatt Henson named MAC East Wrestler of the Week
CLEVELAND – Wyatt Henson of the Lock Haven men’s wrestling team has been named the Mid-American Conference (MAC) Eastern Division Athlete of the Week. It marks the second time this season where Henson has been named MAC East Wrestler of the Week.
Ranked No. 1 in the MAC and 19th nationally at 141 pounds, Henson was a perfect 3-0 over the weekend as the Bald Eagles returned to action.
He helped The Haven go 2-1 thanks to wins over Columbia and Binghamton.
Henson’s perfect 3-0 day included a dominant effort as he won by pin, major and tech. Henson opened the day by pinning nationally-ranked Kai Owen of Columbia in 5:50. Henson majored Binghamton’s Nate Lucier, 14-4, and teched Maryland’s Dario Lemus, 17-2, at the 6:28 mark to round out the sensational effort.
