Rt. 220/Fairgrounds Road Work Continues

LAMAR TOWNSHIP – The Route 220 improvement project near the Clinton County Fairgrounds is well underway.

When the interchange project is done later this year there will be a three span bridge carrying Route 220 traffic over the Fairground/Auction Road. Phase two of the overall improvement project, with a price tag of $12.3 million, is expected to be completed by November.

A traffic light presently controls traffic at the intersection while the reconfiguration is completed. The stretch of highway has been the site of a number of serious traffic accidents over the years.
