Renovo Community Choir Spreads Holiday Cheer with Festive “Lights and Sounds of Christmas” Concert
RENOVO – The United Methodist Church on 7th Street came alive with laughter and holiday cheer on Sunday afternoon as the Renovo Community Choir presented their enchanting program, “Lights and Sounds of Christmas.”
Performing for a standing-room-only audience, the choir filled the sanctuary with the magic of the season, delivering beloved holiday classics and cherished Christmas favorites. The program featured a delightful selection of 12 songs, complete with solos and surprises that captivated the crowd—including an unexpected visit from the charming Dominick the Donkey.
Midway through the performance, the choir paused to spotlight a group of young, aspiring musicians whose heartfelt contributions brought wide smiles to every face in the room.
Adding to the festive spirit, Santa Claus made a memorable entrance, distributing jingling bells so the audience could join in for a lively finale. The excitement was especially noticeable among the children, who were thrilled to jingle along with the choir.
After the concert, Santa stayed for photos with the little ones, while everyone enjoyed delicious refreshments and snacks generously provided by the Renovo Area Woman’s Club. The event was a heartwarming celebration of music, community, and the joy of the holiday season.
