LHU Aiming for New Football Coach Soon

lhu-footballLOCK HAVEN – Lock Haven University hopes to have a new head football coach named sometime this month.

University sports information director Doug Spatafore said the program search committee is finalizing campus visits with as many as four final candidates, with public interview sessions as part of that process to be held next week. The school will be announcing dates and times for those interviews.

Spatafore said if the process stays on schedule the school’s goal is to offer its choice by the end of next week with an announcement of the new coach to be made the following week.

Previous coach John Allen resigned in February and is now offensive coordinator at Delaware State University. Allen compiled a 6-37 record over four seasons as Bald Eagle head coach. Wins included a 2012 victory over Cheyney which snapped a 52-game losing streak.
