Central Mountain Golf Takes Second at Park Hills Invitational

ALTOONA-The Central Mountain Wildcats golf team took to the links at Park Hills Golf Club Thursday, competing in an 18-hole non-league match against strong opponents from West Shamokin, Bishop Guilfoyle, and Northern Cambria. The event was marked by competitive play and perfect golfing conditions.

West Shamokin’s Logan Geist emerged as the medalist of the day, posting an impressive score of 72 on the par-70 course. Leading the Wildcats were Stevan Fisher, who carded a solid 75, and Evan Walker, who finished with a 78. Central Mountain secured a second-place finish with a team score of 330, just five strokes behind West Shamokin, which won the match with a score of 325.

Bishop Guilfoyle rounded out the top three teams, finishing just behind Central Mountain with a score of 333. Northern Cambria finished fourth with a total score of 380.
