Wildcats Shine as Central Mountain Golf Defeats Williamsport
MILL HALL-The Central Mountain golf team continued their strong season with a dominant victory over visiting Williamsport Area High School in a PHAC matchup. The Wildcats posted an impressive team score of 172, comfortably outpacing Williamsport’s 193.
Leading the way for Central Mountain was Evan Walker, who turned in a stellar performance to earn medalist honors with a score of 39. Walker’s steady play set the tone for the Wildcats, with teammates Reese Walizer and Zach St Clair close behind, both carding scores of 44.
Williamsport’s best individual effort came from Chase Kelley, who finished with a score of 48. However, it wasn’t enough to challenge the balanced attack of Central Mountain, as Stevan Fisher (48), Michael Lodek (45), and Jamison Beachy (46) rounded out a solid team effort.
Central Mountain will return to action in a non-league match at Park Hills Golf Course.
