Nine Renovo Groups Get New Flags

RENOVO – Nine Renovo area organizations were presented American flags Sunday in a brief ceremony at the Renovo American Legion Post 442.

Robert Cozzi said the flags were purchased jointly by the Renovo American Legion Post 442, the Renovo Sons of and Daughters of Italy and the Renovo Eagles Club. Previously Cozzi received flags through a grant.

Cozzi said he was extremely pleased that the flags were a joint venture by various clubs in Renovo. “It really is another example coming together, everybody getting on the same bandwagon for the betterment of the community,” he said.

The nine organizations receiving flags were: North Bend Fire Company, Renovo Fire Company, Citizen’s Hose of South Renovo, Cross Forks Fire Company, Renovo Library, Western Clinton County Recreation Authority, the Flaming Foliage Festival committee, Bucktail Medical Center and the Renovo Heritage Park committee.
