Lock Haven Man Killed by Train in Wayne Township

YOUNGDALE — A Lock Haven man was struck and killed by a freight train while walking the tracks in Wayne Township late Sunday afternoon.

State police identified the victim as Kyle Plants, 29. Their report said Plants was “walking the tracks from McElhattan to Lock Haven when he was struck by a train.” The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, time of the incident put at 4:05 p.m. The site was listed as just off the Youngdale Road, the back road from McElhattan to Castanea.
