Central Mountain Golf Downs Shamokin in Challenging Weather Conditions
SHAMOKIN-Central Mountain’s golf team faced off against Shamokin Area High School at Indian Hills Golf Club, overcoming wet and windy conditions to secure a 167-180 victory in a PHAC matchup. The Wildcats demonstrated resilience and skill, navigating the tough weather to come out on top making the 3-0 on the season.
Evan Walker led the way for Central Mountain, earning medalist honors with an impressive score of 39. Zach St Clair also shone in the adverse conditions, carding a solid 40. The team effort was rounded out by Stevan Fisher and Reese Walizer, each shooting 45, while Jamison Beachy added a 43, and Michael Lodek finished with a 50.
With this win, Central Mountain continues to build momentum in their season. The team will return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Scotch Valley for a non-league 18-hole match.
