New Officers Elected at Renovo’s American Legion Post 442

RENOVO – The American Legion Post 442 in Renovo held their election of officers on Thursday evening for the upcoming year. The ceremony, which took place at the American Legion Post 442 in Renovo, saw the presence of several district officers and auxiliary members who came together to support and celebrate the new leadership.

The Sons of the American Legion were well represented, with District Officers in attendance. Pictured in the ceremony were David Shadle, District 16 Sons Commander; Curtis Campbell, District 16 Commander and dual member; Jeff Barrick, Post 442 Commander; Francis DeMarte, First Vice; Lee Funk, Treasurer; Bill McDonald, Chaplain; and Mark Peck, Sergeant at Arms.

The Ladies Auxiliary also had a strong presence at the event. The Auxiliary members who participated in the ceremony included Tina Schoonover, Treasurer; Betsy Huseth, President; Carol Wert Walker, District Commander for Center, Lycoming, and Clinton Counties; Sue Hobart-Plecker, Secretary; Donna Holtzapple, Sergeant at Arms; and Mary Ann Eschenbach, Vice President.

Among those sworn in as Post 442 officers were Scott Bissman, Commander; Bob Probst, Adjutant; John Zimmer, First Vice; George Crouse, Finance Officer; Denny McKeone, Second Vice; Dave Overgord, Judge Advocate; Tom Bissman, Chaplain; and Archie Kelly, Sergeant at Arms. Curtis Campbell, District 16 Commander and dual member, also participated in the ceremony. Although not pictured, Cark Cannon, Historian, and Fred Miller, S.O., are also part of the leadership team.

This event marks the beginning of a new term for Post 442’s officers, who are dedicated to upholding the mission and values of the American Legion while serving their community.
