Work commences on Veterans Park

LOCK HAVEN – Large white decorative blocks that were once piled at the site of the new Veterans Park across from the Clinton County Courthouse were seen hoisted Friday into their final locations along Water Street.
As well, some concrete forms in a half-circle formation were found laid out at the site that will one day house the new memorial to the county’s military heroes.
With groundwork officially starting on June 6, the 80th anniversary of the D-Day invasion at Normandy, the estimated date of completion with formal dedication is currently slated for November around Veterans Day.
The formal unveiling of the park plans were made in late August 2021 following the Hometown Heroes celebration at the nearby Corman Amphitheater.
