Obituary – Romaine Elizabeth Lynch
Romaine Elizabeth Lynch, 92, of Lock Haven passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at Haven Place, Lock Haven.
Born April 21, 1932 in Lock Haven, she was a daughter of the late Jack W. and Helen Seyler Rogers.
Romaine was a 1950 graduate of Lock Haven High School.
On November 11, 1950, she married her love, James Edward Lynch, Sr. whom she shared 47 years of marriage before his passing in 1997.
Romaine was employed as a bookkeeper at Woolrich Woolen Mills, both locally as well as in Colorado.
She was a past member of the Woman of the Moose where she served as Senior Regent.
Romaine was a faithful member of Holy Spirit Catholic Parish and expressed that faith through her avid collection of Seraphim Angels of which she had a strong spiritual connection with and enjoyed sharing with others.
Surviving are her children: Cathy A. (Dale) Price of Alaska, Helen E. (Larry) Truax of Beech Creek, Jim Lynch, Jr. of Lock Haven, Jack W. Lynch of Lock Haven and Pauline K. Lynch of Massachusetts; a sister, Betty Geise of Lock Haven; 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Thelma Bair; a granddaughter, Colleen Truax; and her loving dog, Precious.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at 11 A.M. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 310 W. Water St., Lock Haven, PA 17745 with Deacon Chip Young officiating.
Private inurnment will take place next to her husband at City of Fountain Cemetery, Colorado.
Friends and family will be received on Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, PA 17745.
Memorial contributions in Romaine’s name may be made to either American Cancer Society or NAMI- Keystone (National Alliance on Mental Illness) through the funeral home.
