Veterans Conduct Honorable Flag Retirement Ceremony on Flag Day in Western Clinton County

Western Clinton County Veterans observed Flag Day Friday evening as after final inspections that deemed the flags no longer fit to be displayed were burnt in a ceremony at the Flaming Foliage Lot. Thousands of flags from places like memorials, cemeteries, businesses and home were collected over the past year by the Veterans who then offer them one final salute before seeing that they are retired honorably.
