Haleigh Peters Receives SAPA Award from UPMC

WILLIAMSPORT-Central Mountain’s Haleigh Peters was recognized on Tuesday evening at UPMC Williamsport.  Haleigh received a Student Athlete Perseverance Award (SAPA).  The award is presented to an athlete from each UPMC school in the area for their mindset, positivity and perseverance through a difficulty injury/recovery.

Peters was injured during her senior soccer season in the Fall of 2023.  She worked with Central Mountain Athletic Trainer Lindsey Dry to rehab before and after her surgery.  Haleigh continued to rehab throughout the school year, and although she couldn’t participate physically with the Lady Wildcat Softball team, she was present at every game throughout the year as they made their historic playoff run.
