Lock Haven Kiwanis and Central Mountain Key Club Unite for Special Olympics Event
MILL HALL- The Kiwanis Club of Lock Haven recently teamed up with KCSD faculty member, Hayley Orndorf to volunteer for the Special Olympics. The event was held at the Central Mountain Middle School track complex.
Students in elementary, middle, and high school competed in several events throughout the day including a softball throw and various runs/walks. Volunteers assisted in scoring, timing, and handing out medals. Joining the Kiwanis was the Central Mountain Key Club and their advisor, Haley Eisenhower; pictured. The CMHS Key Club is sponsored by the Lock Haven Kiwanis Club.
The event was sponsored by a Keystone Central Foundation mini grant.
The Lock Haven Kiwanis mission is to provide service to the youth in the community. They meet every Thursday at noon on the third floor of the Sons and Daughters of Italy in Lock Haven.
