City of Lock Haven to host KABOOM! Design Day for Hoberman Park
The City of Lock Haven is excited to announce the partnership with Kaboom!, and the Pennsylvania Municipal League, for the redesign of Hoberman Park. KABOOM! is a national non-profit that works to end play inequity for good. Their mission is to “unite communities to build kid-designed playspaces that can spark joy and foster a sense of belonging for the kids who are often denied opportunities to thrive”.
The playground build will take place at Hoberman Park from August 1st to August 3rd! Before breaking ground, the City of Lock Haven wants to hear from the community, and gain input on the playground design! We will be hosting a Design Day on Thursday, May 9, 2024, from 5:00-6:30 p.m. at the STEP Community Center: 124 E Walnut St, Lock Haven, PA 17745. This will be an opportunity for adults and kids alike to meet with the designers and give feedback on what they would like to see in their park!
If you are unable to attend Design Day, we still want to hear from you! There is currently an online survey, available on our city website homepage (www.lockhavenpa.gov), and it only takes a few minutes to complete.
