Renovo Hometown Heroes Celebration

RENOVO – The Renovo Hometown Heroes Committee has started planning for the Hometown Heroes Ceremony which will take place in September 2015. The exact date of the ceremony will be announced at a later date.

This year’s ceremony will commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War by honoring the Greater Renovo Area Vietnam War veterans. Special events are being planned to honor these veterans to include a Welcome Home Reunion.

Details for the ceremony are still being finalized, but the ceremony will highlight a guest speaker who is a Vietnam War veteran, and a roll call of veterans will be performed.
Anyone interested in having a banner for this year’s ceremony is urged to call Patty Campbell at 570-923-0543 or email her at: pattycampbell236@gmail.com. She has the necessary release forms that must accompany all photos submitted for banners.

Committee members are: Patty Campbell, Eric Ditty, Brenda Bower, Mark Campbell, Donna Long, David Bower and Terri Buranosky.

The committee will meet again on April 19, 2015, 7 p.m. at Socky’s Restaurant to finalize plans for the ceremony and commemorative events.
