Student Spotlight for March

FAREWELL – The Bucktail High School Student Council has once again decided to recognize our outstanding students with the Student Spotlight of the month. Each month, teachers are asked to nominate a boy and girl who best represent the academic qualities and values of a Bucktail Buck. Below are the ninth grade winners for March, along with some comments from their teacher on what makes them outstanding students.

Anna Cowfer: Anna’s favorite subject in school is English. She enjoys learning new things while in school, but can’t choose a favorite teacher because she likes them all. Outside of school, Anna enjoys spending time with her family. After school, she plans to become an author as well as study the human mind. Mrs. Sockman has Anna in class and said the following about her. “Anna is a great student, she always puts forth her best effort, she is insightful, she is friendly, and she has a great sense of humor.  I really enjoy having her in class.”

Delmar Blackwell: Delmar’s favorite subject in school is Math. He enjoys meeting new people at school and making more friends. Outside of school, Delmar enjoys watching racing as well as participating in racing. After graduation, Delmar plans to pursue a career as a FBI technologist. Mr. Varholak has Delmar in class this year and said the following about him. “Delmar is a hardworking and good student to have in class.  He helps his other classmates in class and always brings a bright side to the group.”
