LOCK HAVEN – The new year is well underway and so are big changes within Team Red, White and Blue Lock Haven-Williamsport.

The team is undergoing a big change in leadership. Chapter Captain Sean MacMillen has relinquished his title to focus on his graduation from Lock Haven University in May and to pursue career opportunities. Filling the role as Chapter Captain will now be Bo Hagaman, the former Veteran Outreach Coordinator. Other existing leaders have also switched roles and Team RWB has welcomed some new individuals to the Leadership Team. Jennifer Forshey has moved into the Athletic Director position and Melissa Barr will now be filling the Social Director spot. New leaders include Bill Bechdel as the Veteran Outreach Coordinator, and Co-Community Outreach Directors, Tim and Mallory Barnhart.

Team RWB Lock Haven-Williamsport Leadership has already begun plans to broaden the team’s horizons. They are looking into a wider variety of physical and social activities, event locations, volunteer opportunities, recruitment activities, business/organization partnerships, and more.

In his departure from a leadership role, the team would like to thank Sean MacMillen for all of the hard work and effort he has put into the organization in the last year and a half. The team has grown from 41 members when MacMillen took over to 418 members now. They are now recognized everywhere they go and have established a reputation for being a go-to organization when someone, and not just veterans, needs a helping hand. The Eagle (and the kilt!) has become a recognizable staple in the Lock Haven-Williamsport community. They would also like to wish MacMillen the very best of luck in achieving his future goals.

Team RWB was created after 9/11 to help the troops coming home from Iraq and Afghanistan re-acclimate to civilian life after they returned home. Its mission is to enrich the lives of America’s veterans by connecting them to their community through physical and social activity. The Eagle Ethos is passion, people, positivity, commitment, camaraderie, and community…and Team RWB lives it in action every day.
