Spooky Characters take the Floor from HPAE

In recent competitions, these budding stars have been making waves with their remarkable performances consistently earning silver ratings at the TIA competitions. The Haven Performing Art Cadet Twirl Team is the youngest team in the group, and the children range in the ages of 5-9.

The team is led by Coaches Lea Kline and Averi Raab. Their show this year is called Haunted House. The routine starts with an eerie song “Haunted Heart” where the girls portray scary characters with scowls on their faces. Then the routine transitions into an energetic portion to the song “Black Cat” where the girls get to share their smiles and sass. With their black sparkly costumes, purple lipstick, glitter hair, their black cat Mr. Cat, and an actual haunted house, the team continues to win over the judges with their talents.

Coach Lea shares, “The kids have worked so hard this year. They look forward to competing each weekend to continue to show the judges how they are improving week to week.”

The team will be working hard these next 2 weeks making changes to their routine to perform at Chapters at Central Mountain High School on April 28th. The team will also travel with the rest of the Haven Groups to Wildwood, NJ the first week of May for the TOB/TIA championships.
