Phoenix Trio Eliminated at District 4 Tournament

WILLIAMSPORT:-The Sugar Valley Rural Charter School trio were eliminated in their first round consolation bouts early Saturday in the District 4 Class AA championships at the Williamsport High School. 

Cameron Quick (145) dropped an 11-3 major decision to Cooper Robinson (26-13) of Athens to finish his senior season with a 29-8 record. Quick finished his career with a 64-20 record and is the winningest wrestler in Phoenix history. 

Junior Jarren McCloskey lost an 8-0 major decision to Lane Kenamond (22-11) of Mifflinburg to finish his junior season with a 27-12 record. McCloskey is 58-36 for his career and next season will have the chance to surpass the 64 wins by Quick to take over first place on the Phoenix win list. 

Sophomore Ethan Bartenope lost his first round consolation bout by a fall in 3:56 to Owen Cummings (27-7) of Williamson. Bartenope finished his season with a 8-17 record but got some valuable experience at the district tournament. 

Montoursville took the team title with 163 points and two champions in Aristobel Bobotas (107) and David Kennedy (127). Warrior Run was second with 157 points and two champions in Reagen Milheim (145) and Cameron Milheim (152). Montgomery rounded out the top three teams with 132.5 points and three champions in Brandt Harer (133), Conner Harer (160) and Caden Finck (172).
