Obituary – Nancy Stoy Antram

Nancy Stoy Antram, 64, of Lock Haven, PA, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 22, 2024. She died at home, surrounded by her children and loved ones.

Nancy was born in Johnstown, PA to Theresa and Robert Stoy on February 6, 1959. She was a 1977 graduate of Richland High School and attended Lock Haven University before graduating from Penn State University with a degree in journalism.

“Ms. Nancy” was the beloved children’s librarian at Ross Library for 21 years. Nancy was a warm and welcoming steward of the children’s book collection and delighted in creating summer programs and leading storytimes for her many young patrons. Nancy was known for her kindness and dedication to her community. She was an active member of two book clubs and spent several years on the boards of both the Millbrook Playhouse and Infant Development Program. In 2021, she was recognized by the Downtown Rotary Club of Lock Haven as “Downtowner of the Year” for her years spent “demonstrating service above self.”

Her children and grandchildren were the lights of her life and she loved being with them more than anything. To that end, she lived a remarkable nine years with brain cancer. Her journey was not an easy one, yet one she faced bravely and with an indomitable zest for life.

Nancy is survived by her mother, Theresa Lantz Stoy, of Lock Haven; children Caitlin A. (Josh) Marrazzo, of Holland, PA, Anna (Lance) Kramer, of State College, PA, and Devin Antram of Lock Haven; grandchildren Leah (5) and Owen (2) Kramer and Mia Marrazzo (2); and siblings Roger Stoy, of Reading, PA and Robert Stoy, of Newtown Square, PA. Nancy was loved and cared for by many extended family members and dear friends, especially her aunt Judith Lantz and her family. She is preceded in death by her father, Robert Stoy, and brother, Ralph Stoy.

A celebration of life will be held at Haywoods on the Green, upstairs banquet room at 43 Fairway Dr. Mill Hall, PA 17751 on Saturday, February 10, 2024, from 1- 4:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be sent to the Ross Library, 232 W. Main St., Lock Haven, PA 17745. Her family is exceptionally grateful for the incredible care Nancy received from UPMC Hospice.
