Obituary -Darlene M. Ingram
Darlene M. Ingram, 68, of Lock Haven passed away Thursday, January 11, 2024 at UPMC Susquehanna, Williamsport.
Born October 8, 1955 in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth and Frances Zerby.
Darlene grew up in Jersey Shore and was a 1973 graduate of Jersey Shore High School.
She began working at Cobblers, Inc. where she met and fell in love with Gary Ingram.
On October 5, 1974 at East Main Street United Methodist Church, she married her love, Gary Ingram, with whom she shared 49 years of marriage.
Darlene was employed by Import Leather in New Hampshire before moving back to the area. She then worked at Woolrich, J.J. Newberry’s and Corning. Finally, Darlene served as the crossing guard at Robb Elementary School for 17 years where she was loved by many students.
She attended East Main Street United Methodist Church.
Darlene loved gardening and flowers. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed canning.
She was affectionately known as the “Craft Lady.” Darlene was always sure to take pictures and has many photo albums to show for it. She was also a lover of anything having to do with frogs.
Most cherished was her family- whether it be the times earlier in life fishing with Gary or simply spending time together, especially with her grandchildren.
Along with her husband, Gary Ingram of Lock Haven, she is survived by a son, Justin (Nicole) Ingram of Lock Haven; a brother, Kenneth (Tammy) Zerby of Lock Haven; a sister, Kimberly (Chris) Rohrer of Mechanicsburg; her two grandchildren, Alana and Leo Ingram; and many close friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Keith Zerby.
Friends and family will be received on Monday, January 15, 2024 from 4-6 PM at Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington.
