LHU’s Noto reclaims No. 1 ranking; Bald Eagles sit at No. 20

LOCK HAVEN – Lock Haven men’s wrestling standout Anthony Noto has reclaimed the No. 1 ranking at 125 pounds in InterMat’s most recent NCAA Division I individual national rankings, released today (Dec. 20).

Noto’s jump back into the No. 1 spot comes after yesterday’s signature win over previous No. 1 Jakob Camacho of NC State. Noto was ranked second yesterday when he topped Camacho in Collegiate Duals action.

The win over Camacho Tuesday was one of two on the day for Noto who improved to a perfect 8-0 on the season. The returning All-American now has 73 career wins at Lock Haven.

Noto was one of two Bald Eagles ranked in InterMat’s individual rankings today. Isaac Reid remained nationally-ranked at 285 pounds as he checked in at No. 28 this week. He has previously represented Lock Haven at the NCAA Tournament.

In the team rankings, InterMat pushed Lock Haven up one spot to No. 20.

Yesterday (Tues., Dec. 19), Lock Haven battled three nationally-ranked teams at the Collegiate Duals, which marked the final competition of the calendar year. The Haven will return to action in the new year when Lock Haven heads to Franklin & Marshall’s David Lehman Open, scheduled for Friday, Jan. 5, 2024.
