Obituary – Marlene J. (Horner) Harris
Marlene J. (Horner) Harris, 79, of Howard, passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2023, surrounded by her family at Jersey Shore Hospital.
Born August 2, 1944, Marlene was raised in Rebersburg by her late parents, Dean and Irene (Brungart) Gephart.
Marlene was a 1963 graduate of Penns Valley High School.
She retired from Allegheny Power of State College, where she served for many years as a Meter Reader. Prior to that, she worked at Corning Glass and Hammermill Paper Company.
Marlene loved her grandchildren and spending time with her family. She had an art for interior design and enjoyed time gardening and landscaping.
On December 29, 2005, after 42 years of love, she married Andrew Harris, who survives.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Lynnette Horner Kosut and Stacey Horner; five grandchildren, Joshua and Luke Kosut, Desiree (Cody) Myers and Mason and Addyson Masorti; eight great-grandchildren, Chael, Tatum and Maren Myers and Megan, Jake, Tatum, Asher and Cayaan Kosut; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, Marlene was preceded in death by three brothers, Charlie, Gerald and Gary Gephart; a sister, Lucille Reisinger; and a son-in-law, Marty Kosut.
Respecting Marlene’s wishes, there will be no viewing or funeral services held.
