LHU Men’s Soccer Tom Pombor named D2CCA Atlantic All-Region
ATHENS, W.Va. –Lock Haven men’s soccer standout Tom Pombor (Williamsport, Pa./Williamsport) was named to the NCAA Division II Conference Commissioner’s Association (D2CCA) Atlantic Region Second Team as a forward, the organization announced on Tuesday (Nov. 28).
Pombor saved his best season for his last, earning his first All-PSAC (First Team) and Atlantic All-Region honors as a senior.
The Williamsport native led the Bald Eagles in goals (eight), points (18), shots (36), shots on goal (21) and tied for first in assists (two). The senior forward closed out the season with authority, finding the back of the net in six of the final eight games.
Pombor was named PSAC East Offensive Athlete of the Week on Oct. 23 after a monster week which led the Bald Eagles to a pair of PSAC East victories over ESU (3-2) and Shepherd (1-0). Pombor scored twice in the victory over ESU, before finding the back of the net on the game-winning goal in the victory over Shepherd.
In 2023, the Bald Eagles (7-8-3, 4-6-2 PSAC East) closed out the season strong, winning three of their final five matches in the PSAC East, while winning five of eight overall.
