Ex Wildcats continuing their collegiate seasons
GROVE CITY, PA – Six former Central Mountain football players are continuing their football season this weekend at the NCAA Division III level.
Grove City (10-0) plays at 10-0 Susquehanna University (Selinsgrove) on Saturday at noon in the first round of the NCAA Division III playoffs. Grove City’s roster includes two Central Mountain graduates – linebacker Micah Walizer and safety Zack Weaver. Walizer has appeared in all 10 games, registering 13 tackles and one quarterback sack for the Wolverines.
Susquehanna University closed out its perfect regular season last Saturday with a 49-10 win over Lycoming. Central Mountain graduate Jake Welch, a defensive lineman, had eight tackles for Lycoming and is presently third on the team with 57 tackles. Ryan Pentz, another former Wildcat, has 42 tackles and three interceptions from his defensive back position. CM grad Tyler Cygan is an offensive lineman for Lycoming and fellow former CM teammate Anton Stratts is on the defense.
Lycoming (4-6) will play Saturday at noon in Lexington, Va. against Washington & Lee in the Cape Charles Bowl.
