Obituary – Anthony Lee Bruno, Sr.

Anthony Lee Bruno, Sr., 68, of Lock Haven, passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at UPMC Susquehanna Williamsport. 

Born February 22, 1955, in Bellefonte, he was the son of the late James Anthony Bruno and Eleanor Romaine O’Dell. 

Tony was a 1973 graduate of Bellefonte High School. 

In 1979, he enlisted in the United States Army, serving our country honorably for 36 years until his retirement. 

On September 21, 200 in Las Vegas, Tony married the love of his life, the former Janine M. Raco, who survives. 

He enjoyed shooting pool and tinkering in the garage. Most of all, Tony loved spending time with his family and his little dog, Dash. 

In addition to his wife, Janine, he is survived by four children, Brandie (Bret) Mavrich of Centre Hall, Anthony (Lori) Bruno, Jr.  of Woolrich, Glenn (Stephanie) Bruno and David Bruno; two stepchildren, Jennie (Chuckie Bechdel) Kline and Donald (Lauran Nearhood) Kline, both of Lock Haven; and nine grandchildren: Dayne, Jocelyn, David, Jr., and Austin Bruno, Leah Kline, Chase Bechdel, Rosa and Mae Mavrich, and Maddox Kline. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by seven brothers: James, Franklin, Richard, John, Joseph, Steven and Michael Bruno; and two sisters, Rosemary Young and Eleanor Taurence. 

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at 2 P.M. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, PA 17745 with Tony’s son-in-law, Pastor Bret Mavrich officiating. 

Burial with full Military Honors will follow at Highland Cemetery, Lock Haven. 

Memorial contributions in Tony’s memory may be made to Clinton County VA MilitaryShare, to assist with their weekly food distribution program for Veterans.
