Obituary – Charles E. Clukey
Charles E. Clukey, 82, of Nittany Road, Lock Haven, PA passed away, October 27, 2023 at his home. He was born in Lock Haven, January 23, 1941 to the late Edgar Charles and Josephine Peters Clukey. He was married on June 24, 1961 to the former Signe Smith Clukey, who survives. They had just celebrated 62 years of marriage.
Charley was a life member of the Castanea Fire Co. He retired from Penn Dot after 29 years of service. He had also been employed at the former Hammermill Paper Company and Avco Lycoming. He was a lifelong resident of Castanea Township. He spent most of his free time at his camp in Potter County with his family and dogs.
Surviving in addition to his wife Signe are two sons, Charles E. Clukey Jr of Castanea, Township and Dr. Mark (Melissa) Clukey of West Grove, PA. Grandchildren Ryan (Tosh) Clukey, Gavin (Jordan) Clukey, Taylor (Mitch) Sorrow, Morgan Clukey and Connor Clukey, Step-grandson, Justin Barrett and Lizzie Flanigan. Also, great-grandchildren, Paisley and Declan Sorrow; Lennon, Airlee, and Maisyn Clukey. A sister, Joan Musheno of Avis, a very special niece, Beth Miller and his beloved dog, Millie. Charley was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, David Clukey.
Private services and interment will be at the convenience of the family.
