Obituary – Beth (Weaver) Schrack
Beth (Weaver) Schrack, 69, of Mill Hall, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, October 20, 2023.
Born August 25, 1954 in Lock Haven, she was the daughter of Elmer Weaver (deceased) and Germaine (Hutzel) Weaver.
After graduating from Lock Haven High School in 1972, Beth earned her teaching degree from Lock Haven University.
On October 16, 1976, she married her husband, Gene Schrack, with whom she shared 47 years of marriage.
Beth was a teacher and librarian with Keystone Central School District, teaching at numerous schools in the district throughout her career. Teaching was more than a job; it was her passion. Beth loved and cherished her students, impacting their lives beyond measure.
In addition to her teaching career, she served as an auditor for Bald Eagle Township and was a board member of the Clinton County Economic Partnership. She was also a member of the Covenant United Methodist Church in Lock Haven.
She lived her life for others- whether socializing with friends, investing in her students or spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren.
When she was not devoting her life to others, she enjoyed gardening, spending time at the river and the beach, and telling stories about her Great Danes.
In addition to her husband, Gene and mother, Germaine, she is survived by her children, Thomas (Shari) Schrack of State College and Dr. Katie (Alex) Schrack Poor of the Philadelphia area; a brother, Jeffrey Weaver of Bellefonte; and her grandchildren: Emily and Eli Schrack and Evelyn, Sullivan and Griffin Poor.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at 10 AM at Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, PA 17745 with Pastor Tom Jones officiating. Private interment will be at Fairview Evangelical Cemetery, Loganton.
Friends and family will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 6 until 8 PM as well as on Saturday from 9 AM until the time of the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association through the funeral home.
