Wildcat soccer edges Huskies, 4-3
LEWISTOWN, PA – The CM Wildcat boys’ soccer team traveled to Lewistown on Monday night for a non-league game. Mifflin County would not make it easy for the Wildcats. A 1-0 lead thanks to an Asher Talbot goal would be taken away just before halftime. The Wildcats came out with a boost of energy in the second half, scoring two quick goals to take a 3-1 lead. Talbot would get his second goal of the game, followed by Lincoln Breon firing one home. The 3-1 lead was not enough, as next thing you know Mifflin County had tied it back up at 3.
Peyton Jones wouldn’t let the game go to overtime though. The senior, in his first game back from injury, fired home the game winner with 6 minutes to play. The Wildcats would hold onto that 4-3 lead.
The JV team also came away with a victory Monday night, a 2-0 win. Goals by Tim Brinker and Bryce Warren and the shutout earned in goal by Jaggar Pardoe.
The Wildcats, now 5-6, are back at home on Wednesday night, playing host to PHAC foe Shikellamy.
