Obituary – Charles R. (Buck) Seyler

Charles R. (Buck) Seyler, 85, of Clintondale Hill Rd. Mill Hall, PA, passed away Saturday, September 23,2023 at the Lock Haven Senior Living & Rehabilitation Center where he had been a resident for a short time. He was born in Lock Haven to the late Ralph (Dutch) and Margaret Mayes Seyler. Buck was a US Army veteran and had been a member of the Lock Haven American Legion Post 131 and the Lock Haven Moose Club 100.  He was preceded in death by his companion, Joyce Karichner.

Buck was a truck driver for many years working for various companies over the years, including Kyle’s Dairy, Associated Transport, Dunkle & Grieb, McCormick, and Steve MacNamara before starting his own business, Buck’s Backhoe Service, which was well known in the area.

Survivors include two sons: Robert E. (Bobbie Jo) Seyler of Howard and Michael A. (Karen) Seyler of Nittany, one step-son Paul (Beth) Karichner of Salladsburg and one step-daughter Kori (Bill) Pene of Stroudsburg.  Also surviving are two grandchildren: Alyssa M. (Doug) Hanna and Matthew R. Seyler and one great grandson Mason D. Hanna.

Graveside memorial services with military honors will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 27,2023 at 10:00 am in the Rest Haven Memorial Park.  Memorial contributions in Buck’s name can be made to the Lock Haven Legion, 20 S. Grove St., Lock Haven, the Lock Haven Moose Club, 150 S. Hanna St., Lock Haven, or the Clinton County SPCA, 33 Mill Hill Rd., Lock Haven.
