Clinton County approves early retirement incentive program for employees
LOCK HAVEN, PA – The Clinton County Commissioners at their Thursday meeting gave unanimous approval to establishment of a county early retirement incentive program for county employees.
The resolution was passed without comment from the commissioners, other than nothing it had been approved by the county retirement board on Sept. 15.
The resolution says eligible members can submit their participation requests for 90 days, effective Oct. 3. All members who elect early retirement must retire within the period beginning at the end of the election period which ends April 1 of next year.
Those eligible have to be 55 years of age with 25 years of county service or 30 years of service.
The retirement incentive will be an additional credit to years of service of 20 percent of the member’s year of service.
