November election update from county voter registrar
LOCK HAVEN, PA – Clinton County Director of Voter Registration Maria Boileau at the Clinton County Commissioners’ work session on Monday offered an update on the upcoming Nov. 7 municipal election.
She said sample ballots should be up on the county website by the end of this week; Oct. 23 is the last day to register to vote; and mail-in and absentee ballots requested so far will be placed in the mail between Sept. 29 and Oct. 2.
Boileau noted “a couple poll workers” are needed for the November election and said more will be needed for 2024, a presidential election year.
While Oct. 31 is the last date to apply for a mail-in ballot for this year, board chairman Miles Kessinger urged county residents to not wait until the deadline to submit a mail-in application; otherwise, their ballot may not be received in time to be tallied.
Boileau also reported there will be information at this Thursday’s commissioners’ voting session relative to setting up a local committee as part of the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States on July 4, 1776. She pointed out that as of Monday, the 250th anniversary is two years, nine months and fourteen days away.
