Fall sports kicking off
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP, PA – Monday marked the start for PIAA-sanctioned fall sports and for Central Mountain football, it was the first day of heat acclimation drills under first-year head coach Travis Thompson.
The Wildcats welcomed some 50 players to the first practice, with another 20 to play in junior high. The varsity program went 0-10 a year ago but returns 25 seniors. First scrimmage will be home on Saturday, Aug. 19 with Canton and Southern Huntingdon. First game will be Friday, Aug. 25 at Mifflin County.
