Commissioners laud Chief Clerk Meyers on her retirement

LOCK HAVEN, PA – As their last item of business at their meeting on Thursday, the Clinton County Commissioners said thank you to soon to be retired Clinton County Chief Clerk Jann Meyers. They presented her with a certificate of retirement and words of thanks for her effort over the last seven years on behalf of the county.

Her pending retirement had been announced in February and the county subsequently hired Desiree Myers as her replacement. Both were in attendance Thursday in what was Meyers’ last official commissioners meeting.

Commissioner Angela Harding thanked the outgoing chief clerk for her assistance and noted Meyers “did not want fanfare.”

Meyers began her Clinton County duties in October of 2015, replacing Paula Kistler. She had previously been employed in the Financial Aid Office at Lock Haven University. Prior to that she had been the business manager for the Pennsylvania State Employees Credit Union financial center at the university. Her replacement Myers had most recently been the county’s director of human resources.
