Weis Market pursuing gas pumps for its Lock Haven store
LOCK HAVEN, PA – City officials have confirmed that Weis Markets has begun the process to install gas pumps at its vacant plot at Commerce Street and Bellefonte Avenue.
Fencing went up around the proposed site this week. Meanwhile the Lock Haven Planning Commission is scheduled to review the plans at its April 4 meeting. The Clinton County Planning Commission, the Clinton County Conservation District and PennDOT are also involved in the review process.
Weis dubs its gas station set-up as Gas-N-Go and has such facilities at a number of its markets. The Bellefonte Avenue site will be the first for Weis in Clinton County. The site previously had housed a service station decades ago. The Weis grocery store is nearby on E. Bald Eagle Street.
There has been no confirmation thus far from the company’s headquarters in Sunbury.
