Honors roll in for Wildcat PHAC Hoop All-Stars

BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP, PA – The Pennsylvania Heartland Athletic Conference all-star basketball squads were announced on Tuesday and the Central Mountain Wildcat programs were more than well represented. Honors included conference Most Valuable Player recognition for senior Hayden Pardoe, Defensive Player of the Year for Wildcat senior Essex Taylor, and Coach of the Year for CM head coach Tyler Bardo.

Additionally, Pardoe and four-year starter, 1,000-point scorer Jack Hanna were named first-team all-stars, sophomore Hunter Hoy to the second team and Taylor to the third team.

On the girls’ side, four-year starter Kiahna Jones was selected for the PHAC first-team and sophomore Taylor Doyle was accorded honorable mention recognition. Senior Tara Mader was selected to the girls’ all-defensive team.

The Wildcat boys this season have set a school-record for wins with their 24-2 mark and they are not done yet. Central Mountain will be hosting a first-round Class 5A playoff game Friday at 7 p.m. against District 3 seventh place finisher Lampeter-Strasburg (19-7).
