Blonde Boutique Grand Reopening celebrated

LOCK HAVEN – It was late November 2021 when The Record first reported on the grand opening of Blonde Boutique, a new downtown retail business destination. Fast-forward to January 2023 and Ashley Garbrick, owner, founder, entrepreneur, and chief-everything continues to strongly hold the reins of her successful “brick and mortar” business venture.
When talking about the new, larger store, the excitement in her voice was a reminder of the first time she spoke with The Record.

“The other store was so small, but I was able to make it work and I am so excited to say that I now have nearly-tripled the size of my original storefront,” Ashley said, “and I now have a real dressing room,” she jokingly added.
For Ashley, the larger store means that the possibilities of what can be done with the space have increased exponentially.

“I wanted a bigger space to film content, which I love to do by taking pictures, making TikTok videos, and I have a huge office space now for that, along with that real dressing room I am excited about,” Ashley said.

The expanded showroom footprint also means that more can be done with the space, such as taking on a larger inventory, expanding sizes, and apparel and accessory selections.

“I now have a way better understanding of how I want things to go and my vision of styles, so I can better broaden my selection here including adding a little girls selection of clothing, more plus-size clothing, and expanding my gifts line as well,” said Ashley. “I truly have something here for everybody.”

Keeping in touch with what is trending, Fashionista Ashley described what’s currently hot in ladies wear.

“We definitely have a Y2K vibe going on now with cargo pants making a comeback, funky prints, wide-leg pants…I see maxi and mini skirts are making a big comeback, and belt bags,” she explained.

As for the special Saturday reopening sales, people were lined up outside well before the store’s 10AM opening time.

“We had have $10 “grab bags” which the buyer did not know what is in them – they were separated by size with a clothing item and a few accessories or gifts in them…something random-like, Champagne and Cake Truffles to munch on, a sale rack with items as low as $5, Downtown Lock Haven gave away a $25 gift card to a lucky shopper and went Facebook Live, and I also gave away a $100 gift card giveaway,” Ashley proudly announced.
What else could the future hold for Ashley and Blonde Boutique? If you ask her, it would be the thought of opening a second location.
