Concern raised over conditions at Renovo Dollar General Store
RENOVO, PA – There has been no comment so far from Dollar General corporate headquarters relative to concerns raised on Thursday about conditions in its Renovo store located at 13635 Renovo Road in the west end of the borough.
Borough council member Pattie Rauch posted her concerns as a council member on social media on Thursday and dozens of western Clinton County residents chimed in. Council member Rauch said stock “piled up in the aisles” creates, in her opinion, “a fire hazard condition.”
She said she had called the store’s district manager to voice her concerns and said she was told it would be at least two weeks before a crew could be dispatched to “clean up the store.” The longtime council member said employees at the store are getting burned out and she floated the idea that residents offer to work parttime at the store to stock all the merchandise. She asked social media readers to call the district manager
Presently, the council member wrote, the store manager is on leave until February and the assistant manager had departed for another job.
No one from Dollar General had responded to record-online queries as to the Renovo situation by late Friday afternoon.
A Dollar General store in Beech Creek had closed briefly in June of last year, but no explanation for that shutdown was provided.
