More than a million dollars in recreation money announced for three Clinton County municipalities

HARRISBURG, PA – Gov. Tom Wolf Tuesday announced what he termed an historic investment of $90 million for more than 330 projects across Pennsylvania that will create new recreational opportunities, conserve natural resources, and help revitalize local communities. They include three projects in Clinton County, amounting to more than $1. million:

Flemington Borough, $70,000, Rehabilitation and further development of Grove Community Park. Work to include construction of pedestrian walkways, plaza, dog park and stormwater management measures; installation of utilities and interpretive signage; ADA access, landscaping, project sign and other related site improvements.

Lock Haven, $325,000, Rehabilitation and further development of Hoberman Park. Work to include construction of pedestrian walkway, pavilion, baseball field, dugouts, comfort station, parking area and stormwater management measures; installation of play equipment with required safety surfacing and fencing; ADA access, landscaping, project sign and other related site improvements.

Mill Hall Borough, $952,500, Rehabilitation of Mill Hall Community Swimming Pool Complex. Work to include renovation of main pool, bathhouse and concessions; construction of wading pool and decking; installation of filtration and recirculation systems, water features and utilities; ADA access, landscaping, project sign and other related site improvements.

The $90 million grant round is the largest single investment in Pennsylvania recreation and conservation in agency history, surpassing the previous record of $70 million in 2021. Under the administration of Gov. Wolf, the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) has awarded more than $430 million in grants to more than 2,300 projects across the commonwealth.
