Woodward Township police announce apprehension of township man in domestic strangulation case

DUNNSTOWN, PA – Woodward Township police have posted word on the apprehension of a township resident wanted in a recent strangulation case.

A township release said Mubarik Abdul Graves, 31, was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshal’s Service Fugitive Task Force in the Avis area and was placed into the Clinton County Correctional Facility where he was turned over to the Woodward Township Police Department on an outstanding warrant as well as a state parole detainer.

Graves was arraigned before District Judge Michael Kibler and remains in jail after being unable to post $50,000 bail. .

Township police had announced earlier this month they were on the lookout for Graves in connection with a domestic violence incident on Friday, April 29. Their report said the incident occurred between 7:30 and 7:45 p.m. at his residence, 33 Crist Lane, in the township. He is charged with strangulation, aggravated assault and simple assault.
