Wildcat track teams celebrate seniors
MILL HALL, PA – The Central Mountain track and field team celebrated its seniors on a gorgeous Tuesday at the track complex at the Central Mountain Middle School.
While Shikellamy won both events, 108-41 on the boys’ side and 94-56 on the girls’ side, multiple Wildcats had exceptional days. These included, on the girls’ side, Lily Hendricks with a first in the long jump and triple jump, plus a second in the high jump.
Other firsts included Ashley Rich in the 110 hurdles, Rachel Hall in the 100, both the 4×100 and 4×400 relay teams, A. VanGorder in the shot put and Grace Rizzo in the discus.
Brett Gerlach was a double-winner on the boys’ side, taking both the triple jump and high jump. Anton Stratts won the discus, Ben Streator the long jump and the 4×400 relay team also finished first.
The two Wildcat squads are to next compete in the PHAC championships at Danville High School on Saturday.
