US Senatorial candidate Fetterman draws enthusiastic audience in Clinton County visit
LOCK HAVEN, PA – Pennsylvania Lt Governor John Fetterman drew some one hundred people to Avenue 209 in Lock Haven Saturday morning, part of a 5-county daylong swing through northcentral Pennsylvania in his bid for the Democratic nomination for US Senate; those in attendance gave him a raucous, standing welcome as he entered the Bellefonte Avenue coffee shop through a rear door.
Attired in his trademark hoodie and shorts, Fetterman spoke for ten minutes, then mingled with the audience for another 50 minutes before departing for his next stop, Coudersport.
Fetterman, building an increasing lead in recent polls for his party’s nomination in the May 17 primary, saved his harshest words for the two leading Republican nominees for that party’s nomination. He was critical of Dr.

Mehmet Oz and David McCormick, both of whom have been labeled as carpetbaggers by others in the GOP primary.
Fetterman said, “I never thought I would have to say this, but I live here!” He commented on an ex-President Trump rally in Greensburg Friday night where the Trump-endorsed Oz was among the speakers. Fetterman said, “I found it curious people were booing Dr. Oz at his endorsement.” He termed Oz an “oddball celebrity TV doctor” and said the two leading Republicans are “not from here and not for here.”
He offered two promises: he would never “weaponize” campaign contributions against a fellow Democratic candidate and he will show up in every county in order “to win” Pennsylvania.
